Company History

In 1991, Baths Plus Inc was recognized by their peers and invited to join the local chapter of the National Association of Remodelers Industry, (NARI). In 1993, Baths Plus Inc became a preferred contractor with many of the popular Internet referral services (most of which are gone now). Baths Plus Inc has been a member of numerous associations and takes pride having been a member of the Better Business Bureau (BBB), The Cincinnati Chamber of Commerce, The Building Trades Association, the Kitchen & Baths Association, and the National Association of Remodelers Industry of which John Ashton our founder has achieved the rank of Nationally Certified Remodeler, (CR).

In August of 1989, John Ashton started Baths Plus knowing he wanted to be a legitimate remodeling company right from the start. In August of 2003, Baths Plus Inc opened its first showroom in Milford a small 1400sf strip center. Baths Plus Inc quickly outgrew this location and in the fall of 2006 moved to Reading, Ohio in the center of Cincinnati, with almost 3700sf of space. Baths Plus Inc has been a member of numerous associations and takes pride having been a member of the Better Business Bureau (BBB), The Cincinnati Chamber of Commerce, the Kitchen & Bath Association, and the National Association of Remodelers Industry.

In 2007 John Ashton passed the National Association of Remodelers Industry certification program. A Certified Remodeler as deemed by the National Association of Remodelers Industry, one of only a few in Cincinnati. John has gone on to host and facilitate the certification programs for our local Ohio Valley NARI Chapter.

In 2008 John started a program to help his employees, “Twelve Nights” program. Wm Shakespeare said, “Some are born into greatness, Some achieve Greatness and some it is merely thrust upon!”. The program is designed for those installers not yet ready for application into the NARI Lead Carpenter program.  This program runs twelve nights and covers the basics in remodeling techniques. Besides being a great training tool it allows the attendees to enter-act and learn with hands on and dealer visits. Baths Plus employees are always encouraged to attend Local NARI educational meetings.

In the Spring of 2012 we moved to our own building. Conveniently located in Sharonville Ohio’s, Depot Square, A full Design Center in the making with offices, shop and warehouse.
