Choosing Exhaust Fans and Heaters
Exhaust fans come in many configurations. Some are louder than others, some are round or square, switched with a fan or maybe just a fan with a light in another area of the bath. They can come with quartz, coil or light bulb heaters, and even a night light.
Regardless of the configuration, every bath should have one. So how do you know what to get?
First, determine the volume of the room that is to be ventilated. This alone determines the size of the exhaust fan needed.
Optional features (such as lights) are a matter of preference but sometimes how and where the vent fan is installed may dictate what is supported.
We highly recommend and install Broan products. They can be exhausted outside or to a vented space in your attic. Most people don't realize that the attic is usually a very well ventilated area and is a great place to vent to. But since some attic spaces are not vented well, the vent may have to be exhausted outside.
Baths Plus will be happy to explore all of the possibilities for you!
